Viva Las Vegas!

Well, it all started in October. Someone at work posted a Vegas package for sale and Mom and I decided to jump on it. The airline vouchers were cheap, the hotel was cheap ("cheaper" than we thought, actually!) and since Mom had never been, we decided to go. Only catch...we had to fly by February 6th or the vouchers would expire. So, we booked and we traveled! Needless to say, we had a great time. The weather was picture perfect and to say that we walked our butts off is an understatement! We hit all the highlights and also caught a few movies in our room! One special highlight was the off-broadway hit, Tony & Tina's Wedding. Having heard about this show for years from Mary, it didn't disappoint! We laughed, ate some good food and enjoyed the interactive show. We also took a tour up to the top of the Eiffel Tower and I must admit that the tiny elevator full of about 10 other people almost did us in. Yet, the view from the top was breathtaking! We shopped from the vendors on the street, took in the beautiful shops located in the Palazzo and the Venetian and dined ROYALLY at the Bellagio Buffet. I can still see that beautiful display of scrumpdillyicious food! YUM! Mom was hoping for more "crazy people" sightings but unfortunately, everyone looked pretty good. And last but not least, the gambling. Since neither of us are drawn too much to that scene, we played a bit, won a bit and lost a bit. No high rollers here! Maybe next time! ;o)
