Disney On Ice & Blue Juice

Wow! What an amazing time I had with my little boy! Grandma and Grandpa were kind enough to take Baby Kate for a sleepover and we are so grateful to them! Ryan and I headed straight for Denver after Sunday School and grabbed a quick lunch before the BIG show! When we turned the corner into the parking lot, Ryan's eyes got big as he saw the long line of people! He quickly asked, "Are we going there, Mommy?" Once he saw that we were joining the crowd, he got even more excited! So, we parked the car and joined the masses! And as you can imagine, once in the door, the desire for everything they were selling quickly beat out the need of going to the bathroom, grabbing a snack and finding our seats! I'm not sure it's a good thing that this Mommy gets just as pumped up about the Cars characters as her little boy. Needless to say, we NEEDED the popcorn and cotton candy that included the foam Mater and Lightning McQueen hats, right off the bat! AND, something to drink, of course! AND, a picture with Lightning McQueen, right!?! At this point, the mantra in my head is going something like this..."it's cheaper than Disney", "it's cheaper than Disney", "it's cheaper than Disney!" etc. (insert a big SHOUT OUT to the Jaenisch family who we hope to visit Disney with some day!) Okay, back to the production...and let me tell you; it was just that! Having scored great seats very early in the fall, I had forgotten that we were seated in the second row right by the ice! The characters were so much fun to see up close and the skaters were amazing! Of course, our favorites were Lightning McQueen, Mater, Doc, Sheriff, Sally and Ramone! And, Mickey & Minne Mouse, for sure! As we were leaving, I noticed Ryan's mouth, tongue and face were all blue from his snow cone...this becomes quite the little theme in the pictures you'll see!

From his face, to his clothes, to the hotel towels, to the sheets, etc. Not even the chlorine faded the bright, bright blue! After the show, we headed to our hotel to play with our new toys, eat some pizza and of course, swim! We had the pool to ourselves and just had a great, great time playing. As we were walking down the hall after swimming and heading back to our room, Ryan looked up at me and said, "Mommy! I love this day!" And at that point, my heart melted and I fell in love with my little boy all over again!
